Everyone can benefit from a relaxed environment around them and often it is easier to achieve than you might think.

Read on for five quick tips that can help you find your quiet place:

  1. Have a scent to set the mood. Since launching Pause - Slow Moon's organic essential oil blend it has been a firm favourite. Pop a few drops in a diffuser a burner or wherever you use essential oil. This unique blend contains: Roman Chamomile to help relieve stress and relax the mind. Great for use before bed to aid a peaceful nights sleep. I have also used it in the day to help keep the environment feeling calm; Sweet Marjoram to ease stress in the body and mind; and Patchouli to evoke calm and act as a grounding influence. It has a balancing effect on your emotions which can help reduce anxiety.

  2. A tidy desk or space – a tidy space is a tidy mind. A friend of mine said she tidies her desk at the end of each day. Admittedly, I’m still working on this, but I think it’s a great idea. It makes coming to your desk the next day far more pleasant.

  3. A to do list – so your mind doesn’t need to waste valuable head space thinking about what’s needed.

  4. Lighting – light and bright when working helps uplift your mood and soft and darker helps you wind down before sleep.

  5. Music – this can create ambiance. I like music without words when I work and when I wind down. I find it less distracting! but this is completely a personal taste.

Lovely, sustainable and thoughtful products from a wonderfully creative small business. I love my eye pillow (which doubles up as a hot water bottle for my period pain) and the toiletries bag was the perfect Christmas gift. And the designs are delightful!
